Heard It Through The Cake Vine
Fun Easter Ideas
We did a little photo shoot here at Elegant Cheese Cakes to wow you with our fun Easter ideas! We were feeling creative and thought what a perfect holiday to share cute ideas! We ordered a flat of wheatgrass from our local grocery store and used it to create a fun and springtime inspired display to show off our latest and greatest. This is a really fun way to have your cakes displayed, and so easy too! We used Oasis soft foam (like for flower arrangements) to stick the pops in so they would stand upright, and then we surrounded the whole thing with wheatgrass to get a clean and final look. So easy you can build at home! Just ask your local grocer for a flat of wheatgrass and get ready to have fun!
Unique Wedding Cake Ideas
Sometimes a big grand wedding cake is just not what the bride has in mind for her big day! We have been working with a lot of different creative brides to turn their ideas into a stunning reality. One bride had little glass domes that had an individual cake for each guest to take home…..another bride had five different cakes….one had a whole table of different flavored pops surrounding their main wedding cake. Lots of great ideas and creative thinking! See the gallery:

A Topsy Turvy Weekend At ECC

This fun design was a total surprise for the bride from her mother! We had a fun weekend her at ECC last week making this customize beauty! The bride had no idea what the final outcome was going to be so we had a lot of creative freedom! Each flower, feather and adornment is handmade out of chocolate. Take a peek below to see how we came up with out peacock feathers:A milky chocolate color is cut out into the shape of the body of the feather and the blue is added as the “eye”

We had a couple with an over-the-top fun and crazy wedding cake design back in February. It was a celebration at City Hall of San Francisco that included hundreds of guests; we provided cake for about 250 and created a faux presentation cake decorated with all the elements requested by the bride to surprise her groom. The concept was to choronicle the couples’ relationship, from when it started until marriage. We took milestone events (such as high school, college, engagement, vacations, etc.) and incorporated favorite passtimes as a couple to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece! The couple loved to play scrabble so we used scrabble tiles to mark out the “path” of their relationship journey from start to current. We finished the path with a scrabble board combining their names and a landmark of their final destination!
